I switched my dog’s diet a few days ago. He got bored of his organic, raw meat diet (yes, he is a bit of a diva!) and I switched over to a mix of kibbles and wet food. He’s loving it, but the small downside is that changing his diet gave him diarrhea. In case you were wondering where I’m going with this, stay with me just a little bit longer.

I walked my dog in the evening and had to stop three times for him to do his pre-poop-circles and finally do the needful. The third time around I might have voiced my frustration at having to clean up the runny mess yet again. That’s when I heard Frank’s laughter behind me. He felt bad for laughing about my dog’s misfortune, but the entire situation was so non-romantic and funny that it took away any awkwardness. Plus, we had something to talk about right away. Frank joined us for the rest of the walk and we finally found our way from dog poop as a topic to pets more generally to life more broadly.

It was a great conversation and I felt very inspired on my way home. Frank was not my type and we didn’t exchange numbers. I’d love to see him again on one of our next walks however. Hopefully next time with the need for less poop bags!
