I love being an adult. It comes with being secure, knowing what to expect, and some stability. And date #3 feels very much like adulting. I’m meeting Blake. Very mature, down to earth, German consultant. We’re meeting at this cute breakfast place in Prenzlauer Berg followed by a walk through a farmer’s market. Another area I fall in love with…Dating is the best tour guide one could ask for!
It’s a beautiful summer day and we sit outside on the terrace. We have fun, but not too much. We laugh, but also have serious conversations. There’s equal share of listening and talking. We stay for 1 ½ hours, but not longer. Everything just feels very mature and proper. A few hours after our date we send each other a Thank You note.
It’s a very similar to my experience with Adam. Very nice, good conversation, will most likely not see him again. The one take away from this date is that I had a good sense of how it would go from the way he texted. His texts were very nice and to the point. But didn’t make me laugh or stop or reflect. We all have texting personalities and our “real” personalities, and I wouldn’t rule anyone out based on his texts (unless they are rude). But with Blake, his two personalities were identical twins.
